OIAFEM is a non-profit organization with a major emphasis on women empowerment, particularly those living is urban and rural areas. According to the 2020 global multidimensional poverty index ( MPI), 1,3 billion people -22 percent live in multidimensional poverty and about 84.3 percent of multidimensional poor people live in sub- saharan Africa ( 558 million ). On a rough estimate, close to two thirds of poor in this part of african are women.
